iPhoneography (photography using an iPhone) is one of the shortest ways to bridge that gap to the creative energy source. The iPhone camera has become an integral part in the photography of many photographers. If it’s not the iPhone, it’s another kind of smartphone camera system. In the case of this website, I have an iPhone and thus it will be referred to as iPhoneography.
In iPhoneography, the photographer accepts that they must surrender to the limitations of the iPhone camera and processing applications. From most of the information I found around the web, photographers opt to not process their iPhone photographs in major post processing applications like Photoshop, Lightroom, or Aperture. While I agree with this opt out decision, I don’t know how long it will be relevant as the improvements/advancements are made to the iPhone camera, iOS software improves, and applications. Sometimes, we photographers will have a vision that may need a type of processing to help achieve the message. Limitations are great – but there will be times to go beyond.
Are you an iPhone Photographer?
The main desire for iPhone Made Photography is to become a place for photographers to showcase their iPhoneography. I didn’t want a place to simply show my own iPhone photography, but to promote other amazing images being created from all over the world.
You can submit your best iphone photographs to be shown and promoted here!
